Bensedin 10mg is a Galenika-branded oral tablet containing 10mg of diazepam. Diazepam is a long-acting benzodiazepine with calming, muscle-relaxing, anticonvulsant, sedating and memory-impairing properties. It may be used under medical supervision for selected cases of severe short-term anxiety, muscle spasms, seizures, managed alcohol withdrawal or procedural sedation. The medicine can cause drowsiness, impaired coordination, memory problems, tolerance, dependence and withdrawal. In the UK, diazepam is a prescription-only Class C, Schedule 4 Part I controlled medicine and must be used only as authorised by a qualified prescriber.
